The WE Project Store is a tangible outcome of the years of successful skill development programs that have transformed the landscape of vocational education India. When women from underserved communities have the choice to participate in educational programs, they gain a sense of agency and control over their own lives and decisions. Graduates gain a sense of identity, purpose, confidence, financial independence, respect, growth, and give back to their communities.  AMMACHI Labs has empowered thousands with vocational training in 24+ different trades using technology as a way to scale.

Since 2009, AMMACHI Labs at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University) researches, designs and implements technologies for inclusive empowerment through education and skill development. Under, the MA Math’s Amrita SeRVE adopted villages program our goal is to empower rural communities, through hi-tech and lo-tech social interventions in the areas of sustainability, water, sanitation and education.

The WE Project Store is an online platform to showcase the products made by women’s groups trained under AMMACHI Labs’ Women’s Empowerment Projects.

The WE Project store does not handle payments or profit from the sale of women-made products. Instead, it serves as a platform to connect women-owned businesses with potential customers, offering support to kick-start their entrepreneurial endeavors.
